Astrology is science of analysis of periodic movements of planets and stars and prediction of its time based impact on human life . Predictions are done based on logical calculations . Astrology consists of 9 planets(grah) , 12 zodiac signs(rashi) and 27 nakshatras.
Planets movements and their impacts are analyzed by noting their current positions in the Horoscope(Kundali). Kundali is a geometrical shape consiting of rectangle with diagonals and its midpoints connecting each other. There are 12 houses in Kundali each one of which represents various aspects of life like self, career, family relations , spouse, job or business, health , wealth, travel, disease, fame , fate , loss , benefits and several others. Each grah sits in these houses with the rashis (numbered from 1 to 12).These planets keeps moving in houses periodically. Each grah has its own time duration to stay in each house. Janmkundali is the kundali with the static position of grah when a person was born. Gochar kundali preddicts the current position of grah
